Please note that funds can only be paid to Qualified Donees* as defined by the Income Tax Act. Organizations must provide services within Red Deer and/or surrounding area. These boundaries include Olds (South) to Ponoka (North) and Stettler (East) to Rocky Mountain House (West).
*QUALIFIED DONEE as listed in paragraph 110 (1)(a) and (b) of the Income Tax Act (Canada), as amended from time to time and as related to the objects of the Red Deer & District Community Foundation- registered athletic associations; certain housing corporations providing low-cost accommodation to the elderly; Canadian municipalities; the United Nations of agencies thereof; universities outside of Canada as set out in regulations to the Income Tax Act ( Canada); charitable organizations outside of Canada to which Her Majesty in right of Canada has made a gift during the taxpayers taxation year or the 12 months immediately preceding the taxation year; Her Majesty in right of Canada; and Her Majesty in right of a province.
Granting Process
The Grants Coordinator will review the applications and complete an application requirements checklist. Additional information or clarification may be requested.
Copies of your application will be forwarded to the RDDCF Grants Committee, which is composed of volunteers across the community, for consideration.
The Grants Committee of the Foundation reviews the applications and makes its recommendations to the RDDCF Board of Directors, which exercises final authority with respect to all grants provided by the Foundation.
All applicants will be notified by mail about the success of their application.
