Mr. Perry and his wife Barbara farmed northeast of Coronation. Due to health concerns, they moved to Red Deer in 1960, living in the West Park community until 1979. Mr. & Mrs. John and Reima Klancher

For John and Reima Klancher, establishing a fund at the Red Deer & District Community Foundation has been an ideal way to both give back to the community and ensure their commitment to the cure of a life changing illness lives on forever.

Mr. & Mrs. Klancher established a designated fund in support of the Red Deer Chapter of the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta. They said they wanted to provide annual support to an agency whose programs and support has made a difference in the lives of not only clients, but their families. They feel strongly that one day, through research, the disease that robs its victims of their health and identity will be cured. But in the meantime, they know that agencies such as the Schizophrenia Society will need help to continue their good work.
